Preschool Class Offerings
Applications for Fall 2024 Preschool classes will open for enrollment in beginning on February 6, 2024 and will remain open until full,
then a waitlist will be created.
Need-based scholarships are available.
Faith Lutheran Preschool
Enrollment
Registration for the new school year begins in February and continues until all class rosters are filled. Once the church office receives the completed application, an invitation to join Brightwheel (our center management tool) and an invoice for the non-refundable registration fee of $75 are sent. An additional $100 activity & supply fee/child will be billed to your Brightwheel account. These fees will cover all school supplies and activities for the entire year. Your child is registered for the Fall once you have paid the registration fee.
Age Policy
Children may register in our Pre–kindergarten class when they are 4 years old by August 1, or turn 4 during the current school year. Children may register in our 3’s/4’s class when they are 3 years old or turn 3 during the current school year. Your child must be completely potty trained. Pull-ups will not be allowed. No exceptions will be made.
Admission Policy
Faith Lutheran Preschool is a Christian preschool serving the community. Children of all races and religions are welcome. Faith Preschool does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship program, or any other school-administered programs. *Admission is based on class availability and potential interview process.
Curriculum
The curriculum for Faith Lutheran Preschool is, above all things, Christ-centered. It is our objective to begin the child’s education in the light of God’s love and under the influence of the Gospel message. Our desire is to demonstrate God’s love to the children through every aspect of the curriculum. The program will involve the following activities: *Bible lessons *Music and rhythm activities *Reading readiness activities *Beginning mathematics concepts *Science activities *Arts and crafts activities *Outdoor and indoor structured and non-structured play.
Daily Schedule
Circle Time: Circle time includes saying the pledges, an opening prayer, calendar, weather, sharing activities as well as nursery rhymes, finger plays, and singing.
Bible Time: Includes chapel with pastor, Bible story and related songs. As children learn about God’s love for us, they begin to see God’s loving hand in the world around them.
Learning Activities: Children are directed to theme related projects, or skill development activities linked to our weekly theme to inspire and encourage academic success with a focus on exploring letters and phonemic awareness, math activities, science exploration and discovery, and empowering learning through technology.
Weekly Schedule
Story and Library Time: Reading quality children’s literature and encouraging active learning with an emphasis on reading readiness. Includes an opportunity to visit our school library weekly and check out books.
Art: Creative crafts linked to our weekly theme that includes cutting, pasting, painting, etc.
Snack Time: Opening with table prayers, children enjoy a nutritious snack and practice table manners.
Music Time: Children sing, play rhythm instruments, enjoy musical games, and participate in movement activities once a week.
Movement Activities: Active play is important for growing bodies. The children use playground equipment, riding toys, and play outdoor group games. Children engage in Minds in Motion program to develop their gross motor skills.
Preschool Registration & Fees
2024-2025
For all classes, a non-refundable registration fee of $75 secures registration.
A one-time activity and supply fee of $100 is payable by the 1st day of school.
